Discussion Review by Willie
I intend to use this video series for presentation during our weekly bible study, as we've had much discussion about the media, music, etc. (Posted on 4/12/13)
Outstanding series, Excellent use of 12 hours! Review by Shari Zeiner Arctander
My husband and I, with our 11 year old daughter, have just finished watching this series. My husband was initially sceptical as he rarely listens to any music and felt this was not an issue for him, and did not feel it would be a productive use of his time to watch. However, when I put on the first DVD, he perked up very quickly and was disappointed when he had to leave for work before the first session was finished. He made up for lost time when he got home.

Christian Berdahl, with his wife, Coby, have done extensive research into the history of music and how it affects us physically and mentally. He goes through every type of music and explains why it is or is not okay for a Christian to listen to it. All this at a level that our 11 year old could understand, yet was not so basic that we were bored. In fact, my husband, who is a psychiatric nurse, was intrigued by much of the information and wants to implement some of the information in his work place.

This is so important and Berdahl goes much deeper than I'd have ever thought. I think it would be crucial to every (Adventist) Christian to watch these DVDs with an open mind and carefully hear his message. He explains everything through the use of the Bible, Ellen White and science.

I had thought I was very picky about what I listen to (and watch), but quickly found out that I needed to reexamine my music library and threw away several CDs that clearly (as I now understand it) were not appropriate. My husband did the same with his small DVD collection.

I highly recommend this series. It could be 12 of the most useful hours you ever watch. (Posted on 11/22/12)
